Séverine Hubscher-Davidson is an associate professor at the Open University. Séverine also works as a freelance writer, researcher, coach, and translator.
She holds an MSc in psychology from the Open University; a coaching and mentoring certificate from the University of Warwick; and a doctorate from the University of Bath. Her PhD project which explored the personalities and individual differences of translators.
Her publications include a monograph entitled Translation and Emotion – A Psychological Perspective published by Routledge in 2017, and a short book, Improving the Emotional Intelligence of Translators, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021.
