Jean-Luc Vannier is a French psychoanalyst working as a clinician and as an Assistant Professor in psychoanalysis at the University of Côte d’Azur, located in Nice, south of France. He also teaches psychology and psychoanalysis at the EDHEC Business School and IPAG Business School. He graduated from the Paris – Sorbonne University.
In Paris, he followed Freudian psychoanalysis before moving to Beirut (Lebanon) for many years of supervision, including training at Beirut Psychiatric Hospital and at the children’s clinic of the city. He is a member of the French-Lebanese Psychoanalytic Association and writes regular clinical articles for analytical French reviews, mainly belonging to the human sciences publishers group Eres.
At the University of Côte d’Azur, he is the official referent for the Personal and Professional Project (PPP) aimed at helping students to work on their own identity and to define their job choices. He often lectures abroad on psychoanalysis and also supervises some clinicians inside and outside the country.
He sits on the editorial board of Psychreg Journal of Psychology since June 2017.
