Gratis Index: Psychology Journals Without Publication Fee

Michael Eisen voiced strong criticism of academic publishing, saying: “It’s still outrageous how much it costs to publish research.” This highlights a problematic reality – many journals impose fees in various forms, such as article processing charges, submission charges, or handling fees. However, some publications offer free publishing options. As chief editor of Psychreg Journal of Psychology, a fee-free journal, I can attest that running such a publication without fees is feasible.

Here is a list of journals in psychology and related fields that do not charge any fees for publication. This list is referred to as the Gratis Index.
