Obesity is a chronic health issue faced by most people across the world and is one of the leading causes of several health problems. Around 40% of people in the US are suffering from obesity. Obese people are more prone to several serious medical conditions which can affect their physical and mental health and can be lethal.
Here are some health conditions found to be associated with obesity:
Stroke
Excess body weight is one of the main causes of stroke. Obesity is often linked to high cholesterol which gets deposited on the walls of arteries that supply blood and oxygen to the brain thus restricting the blood supply to your brain. This may increase the chances of the formation of blood clots.
These blood clots may travel to the brain and may block the artery that supplies blood to it leading to stroke. The stroke may damage your brain and can be life-threatening.
Heart attack
Due to obesity cholesterol may get deposited on the artery walls that are supplying blood to the heart in the form of plaque. This plaque deposition can harden and narrow the arteries than usual, a condition known as atherosclerosis which restricts the blood supply to the heart which can lead to heart attack and can be lethal.
Atherosclerosis is often found to be associated with erection issues in men. Although one may get back his erection with pills like vidalista 60, there may be a few side effects.
Liver disease
Obesity leads to fat accumulation around your liver leading to severe inflammation and scarring of the liver which can damage your liver and even lead to liver failure and can be lethal.
Diabetes
Obesity can result in the insulin resistance of your body cells leading to type 2 diabetes characterized by high blood sugar.
Gallstones
Obesity can lead to an increase in the level of cholesterol in the bile resulting in the formation of gallstones.
Cancer
Obesity is found to be associated with different forms of cancer like pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer and others. One cause of this could be that excess body fat can lead to the production of certain growth hormones which stimulates cell division. This, in turn, may increase your chances of getting cancer.
Sleeping issues
Excess body weight probably can lead to sleeping issues like sleep apnea. Obesity can lead to the narrowing of your air passages thus making it difficult to breathe especially during the night leading to sleep apnea. It leads to alternate stopping of breathing during the night thus causing difficulty in sleeping.
Erection issues
Obesity can be linked to the inability of a man to have an erection. Cholesterol can also block the penile artery thus restricting the flow of blood to the penis causing a failed erection. Vidalista 60 is an effective pill used to treat erection related problems in men.
Weak bones and muscles
Excess body mass can exert stress on your bones and muscles leading to the deterioration of bone density and muscle mass. This, in turn, makes your bones and muscles weaker thus making them more prone to wear and tear and fractures.
Kidney disease
Obesity is found to directly affect your kidneys. Excess weight compels your kidneys to work harder thus leading to the increased filtration of wastes and toxins which increases the risk of kidney disease which eventually leads to kidney failure.
Urinary incontinence
Excess body weight exerts pressure on the abdomen which in turn applies pressure on your bladder and urethral mobility. This can lead to an overactive bladder or urinary incontinence.
High blood pressure
When you are obese the cholesterol may get built up in the arteries that are supplying oxygen-rich blood to your heart thus restricting the supply of enough blood and oxygen to it. Lack of a sufficient amount of oxygenated blood makes your heart work harder to pump blood through your body. This puts extra pressure or strain on your arteries making them resist the blood flow leading to rising in your blood pressure.
Most of the medicines used to treat high blood pressure interact with pills like vidalista 60 or other drugs belonging to the same drug class. Vidalista 60 when taken along with the medicines used to treat high blood pressure leads to a sudden lowering of your blood pressure causing fatigue and dizziness.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease
Extra fat especially around the belly squeezes your stomach which leads to the excess upward flow of the stomach fluid to the oesophagus. This can tend to be more like leakage of the stomach acid causing gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Depression
It has been found that most obese people are suffering from mental health conditions like depression. Obese people, most of the time become victims of body shaming and discrimination. This can lead to social isolation, lack of confidence and low self-esteem. All these factors eventually lead to depression.
Respiratory diseases
Obese people have reduced breathing capacity. They often find difficulty in breathing and can’t effectively breathe the air in and out as compared to a healthy person. Thus obese people are at higher risk of asthma and other respiratory diseases.
Joint pain
The excess body weight can lead to more pressure on your joints making them stressed and more prone to fractures and damage.
Takeaway
Obesity affects both your physical and mental health. Knowingly or unknowingly it can lead to several chronic health conditions which if ignored can be lethal. Adopting a healthy lifestyle will help in reducing excess body weight thus reducing the chances of the severe complications associated with obesity.
