As many countries make plans to relax lockdown measures, people are beginning to plan holidays again. After the global crises that continue to surprise us during 2020, plans of relaxation will be at the forefront of most people’s minds for the foreseeable future.
Though virtual holidays were an attractive prospect to satisfy our wanderlust at the beginning of quarantine measures, as countries prepare to open their borders, those with the travel bug may want to start planning their next getaway.
In the Love2Laundry 2020 Least Stressful Cities Report, they ranked 50 cities on categories like the number of green spaces, friendliness and transport quality to determine where the least stressful cities to visit could be found around the world.
The top 10 cities are:
- Adelaide, Australia
- Vancouver, Canada
- Honolulu, Hawaii
- Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Tokyo, Japan
- Taipei, Taiwan
- Madrid, Spain
- Singapore
- Sydney, Australia
- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Interestingly, seven out of the top 10 cities are in Asia and Oceania, suggesting that those cities in the east and the south have a lot to offer those in search of a more relaxing, welcoming city break.
These cities offer a lot of green spaces, spas and sunlight, which are all things that can contribute to a more relaxing holiday. Though there are still many of the pressures of city life in these 10 cities, they are balanced out by the friendliness of their natives and the natural beauty that can be found within them.
And, for those whose countries have yet to announce travel limitations being lifted, travel to some of the most tranquil locations in each of these cities virtually to get a taste from your own home.
